University Information Technology Services (UITS), Research Computing , Infrastructure Development, and the Operations Center provides campus researchers with High Performance Computing (HPC) and High Throughput Computing (HTC) and storage resources and consulting services for research purposes. In addition, there are several resources and guidelines available to faculty to facilitate research as outlined below.
Permits research groups to add resources such as processors, memory, and storage to the base HPC/HTC systems and storage systems.
The Research Computing Steering Committee is comprised of faculty members and senior IT personnel who work with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Vice President for Research (VPR) to design and implement a Research Computing Governance plan. The Governance plan will guide the administration, access, utilization and development of UA research computing resources.
The Research Computing team is available to assist researchers in the development of funding proposals that include or require research computing systems.
